En Pointe Patrons event | Morning tea with RNZB creatives
The RNZB Foundation’s Auckland Committee was delighted to host a special event for En Pointe Patrons during the RNZB’s season of Home, Land and Sea.
Guests enjoyed morning tea with Choreographer-in-Residence Shaun James Kelly and fashion designer Rory William Docherty, who shared insights into their collaboration on Chrysalis – one of the three ballets featured in the season. Auckland based En Pointe Patrons, who helped support the creation of the Chrysalis costumes, also had the chance to view some of these exquisite designs up close.
Patrons met and chatted with two of the RNZB’s dancers, Artists Catarina Estévez Collins, originally from Spain, and Gretchen Steimle from the United States. The event concluded with the opportunity to watch the dancers take class on stage at the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre.
